Kathmandu Backpacks - Design
During my 6+ year tenure at Kathmandu I designed an extensive range of packs and bags - the number of styles is too numerous to show here, but highlights include: Lightest-in-class rolling luggage (Flight Series), travel packs such as the best selling Interloper and Transfer packs, lightweight hiking packs Altai & Voltai, XT range backpacks for alpinism and ski (Incline and XT Bivy), Child carriers, kids packs and lifestyle bags. As well as many seasons of accessories including packing cells, toiletry kits, camping, and picnic accessories.
Kathmandu Backpacks - Development
During 2019-2020 whilst working for Kathmandu I covered the Product Development of the Moana range of canvas day packs. This complex multi-stakeholder project included an external design resource, new fabric sourced from recycled ocean plastics and BCI cotton (Bionic DPX), a recently on-boarded factory partner and a tight timeline. We successfully launched these styles on-time and on target to the brief.
